Does Takeaway.ie actually deliver my food?

No. Takeaway.ie only calculates your order total and sends your order details to the restaurant. The restaurant prepares, delivers, and charges you directly for your order.

How do I know if a restaurant delivers to my area?

When browsing the restaurants in your area, the restaurants shown are restaurants that are either located in, or that deliver to that area.

You can also check the restaurant's information page, to make sure that the restaurant delivers to your area. Note that some restaurants only deliver to certain parts of a town or village, and these notes will be specified on the restaurant's information page, under the Delivery Areas section.

What will the delivery charge be?

The standard delivery charge for the restaurant is located on the restaurant's information page.

Please note that some areas, further away from the restaurant may have a different delivery charge, and the charges for these areas are listed in the Delivery Areas section on the restaurant's information page.

Is there a minimum order amount for delivery orders?

The minimum order value for delivery orders is set by each restaurant. You can find the minimum order value required for delivery, on the restaurant's information page.

How do I save a delivery address?

When you order for delivery with Takeaway.ie, you will be prompted to 'Create a New Delivery Address' for your order on the checkout page.

The next time you place an order, you can either re-use one of your exisiting addresses or create a brand new one.

How can I check the status of my delivery order?

When your order has been accepted by the restaurant, you will receive a "Delivery Order Accepted" email that contains the approiximate time you will have to wait for your order to be delivered.

You should call the restaurant directly if the estimated time for delivery has been exceeded, as it is up to the restaurant to prepare and deliver your order by the time estimate they provide.

You can find the restaurants number in the confirmation email that is sent to you after an order has been submitted.
